Montgomery Automated Sawmill Equipment — sold under the trade name of Montgomery Mill Supplies Inc, manufactured by Park Manufacturing Inc in New Park, Pennsylvania — has been building circle sawmill equipment for over 70 years. This is not a dealership. We design it, build it, and ship it directly from our shop.
Founded by Hubert T. Montgomery
Hubert Montgomery ran a sawmill in the 1950s and identified a fundamental problem with how logs were held during cutting. His solution — the tong dog system — was a new approach to the dogging mechanism that gave operators more control and consistency. He patented it, along with full knee tapering, and those two innovations remain core features of every carriage we build today.
In the 1970s, Frick Company — one of the most respected names in American sawmill manufacturing — recognized the quality of Hubert’s patent and purchased thousands of dog assemblies from Montgomery over the years. That relationship lasted until Frick’s closure in 1980 and stands as one of the strongest validations our equipment has ever received. During that same period, Hubert’s shop was also producing some of the first sloped-glass saw cabs, cam-style setworks, and hydraulic and hydrostatic feed systems in the industry.
When Frick closed, Montgomery already had a full line of sawmill equipment in production. The business incorporated as Montgomery Mill Supplies Inc in 1972 and has grown steadily since — adding carriage models, expanding support equipment, and refining every design based on real operator feedback.

What We Make
Park Manufacturing Inc produces four carriage lines — SL, FR, WB, and HD Series — along with log handling systems, board handling equipment, laser guide packages, husk assemblies, operator cabs, carriage drives, and a full catalog of replacement parts and upgrade kits. If it moves logs through a circle saw, we likely make it or have the part in stock.
